Ever had a company who have “TAKEN” the piss and ripped you off?

Domains can become your weapon of choice when it comes to hitting these companies where it hurts?

At the start of this year, we had an experience that left our home in disbelief, disarray and disappointment. I use those three ‘D’ words because that is exactly how we felt when my wife was sold a boiler and emergency plumbing agreement around the same time in 2021.

She had been paying £29.99 ($40) per month for a good six months but it suddenly stopped being taken from her bank account? Fast forward to January 2022, my wife remembered that it was around the same time last year that we had a new radiator installed in our grandson’s bedroom which then reminded her about the boiler cover.

Having found the relevant paperwork, she contacted the Boiler Cover Experts (BCE) to find out if they were still in business on the account that they hadn’t taken the payment for approximately six months? Once the young lady on the other end of the line at BCE confirmed that they were indeed still in business, she pointed out that the payment my wife had made were via a now outdated debit card and not by a direct debit mandate, so they were unable to continue withdrawing the fees.

Clare, my wife, asked if they would be carrying out their first annual service of our boiler as it was approximately a year since it was taken out?

“Of course, we can” replied the young lady who then followed up with ” you’ll just need to bring your account up to date and I’ll arrange that for you”. Having now paid around a year’s worth of cover payments, the engineer’s visit was arranged.

A service engineer called and carried out whatever a boiler service requires (or so we thought)and left. My wife checked the boiler and noticed that the front flap hadn’t been replaced correctly AND that the inner front facia had cracked too!

Clare reported this to another receptionist prior to leaving for work that afternoon to start her overnight shift. I returned home from work that afternoon to find our house colder than normal and prior to our 4-year-old grandson arriving home from reception class around that time, it’s usually cosy.

I don’t know who you are, but I have a particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you fix my boiler now, that will be the end of it. I will not review you or pursue you any further.

But if you don’t, I will find you online and I will make it my mission to destroy your company profile and any good reputation it may have gained over the years!
